Born and raised in the city of San Juan, in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, Richard Santiago always let his imagination lead him where he needed to go. He graduated from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón with a B.A. in Communications and a minor degree in Theater Directing. In the Theater program he was mentored by actor Rocky Venegas and Production Designer José Llompart.
There, he produced and directed several plays, short films and TV programs. After graduating, he enrolled in a two-month film directing workshop in the New York Film Academy, and later moved to Southern California to complete his M.F.A. in Cinematic Arts and TV Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles. He has written, directed and produced a number of short plays and short films, many of which deal with themes of love, life, death, time, the psyche of the individual and the human condition.
Between taking care of his kids and his writing, he has also created and is the host of Media Revue Pod; a podcast he envisions as a place where he can have discussions, opinions and interviews focussing on the entertainment side of media with friends and professionals alike. He currently resides in Orlando, Florida with his wife, two boys and Picasso, their dog.
